Exclusive: Mango Journeys with Lucy Williams

Lucy Williams shows off her favorite places in London for the project Mango Journeys and answered a few questions for us

The latest edition of Mango Journeys takes us to London with fashion journalist and influencer Lucy Williams. Following up on the last episode, in which Man Repeller founder Leandra Medine gave a tour through her New York, the Brit invites us into her home and is photographed at her favorite spots. The setting defines the direction and we see Lucy perfectly styled in her favorite pieces by Mango combined with personal accessories – preferably looking very natural in jeans and a light cotton blouse or a mini skirt and a denim jacket. Eye-catcher: the beige coat with the check pattern paired with the small raffia basket. Carlos de la Reina photographed Lucy’s day with Mango.

Mango launched the digital project Mango Journeys about a year ago to show inspiring women in their personal environments. So far, it’s traveled it Texas with model Camille Rowe and to Buenos Aires with entrepreneur Sofía Sanchez.

In this exclusive interview, Lucy Williams answers a few questions for hey woman! about the collaboration with Mango and her daily routine.

What does a perfect day look like for you?

A lie-in followed by heading to the beach somewhere with friends, swimming, reading, and chatting in the sun and ending day with margaritas and Mexican food with friends.

What is your favorite place in London and where should we definitely stop by?

I love Golborne Road on the weekend, one of my local streets that have great vintage stores, coffee shops, and antiques markets.

How do you like to dress in London? Is there a specific look?

London’s home, so I like being casual and a little bit grungy. I love wearing a dress with trainers and a biker jacket or vintage jeans, boots, and a t-shirt.

What is your daily beauty routine?

I’m a bit fanatical about skincare, but try and keep in simple. I use an Avene cleanser and moisturiser with serums by Skinceuticals and La Roche Posay and I try and use an SPF everyday. I love Dr Barbara Sturm sun drops. I wash my hair every day if I want to wear it down – I love Liz Earle or Davines shampoo and conditioner and Liz Earle hair oil. I swear by Philip Kingsley Elasticiser for keeping my blonde split ends in check too. I never blow dry, straighten, or tong by hair. I just let it dry naturally and smooth it with oil afterwards! I use Nars tinted moisturisers, blushers, and Glossier boy brow religiously and always take my makeup off with micellar water at night and use some kind of rich night oil by Votary or Soveral.

What is the last fashion or interior piece you fell in love with?

An Alexa Coe painting – sadly it was already sold!

Tell us a little bit about your cooperation with Mango? What was the most fun part about it and what do you like about the brand?

Going to Lisbon with Mango was amazing – the candlelit dinner and performances after dinner were super fun. I also loved shooting with Mango recently in my home and getting to show Mango around my hometown a bit.
