During Berlin Fashion Week Kalen Hollo surprised us with a cut out of Leandra Medine, aka The Manrepeller, on Instagram. Placed in the front row, it suggested that the New York lady herself was present. Which of course, she wasn’t. Gucci’s made use of the fact that image games stay in people’s collective memory long after the fact. The label’s new creative director, Alessandro Michele, has rid himself of all potential digital phobias and just launched a fantastic Instagram campaign with the hashtag #GucciGram. A selected group of creatives went wild to the tune of Gucci Blooms and the Gucci Caleido collection. The micro site is fun and a great mix of familiar faces as well as new talents. The fact that some of them have a substantial following and thus, lend the label some valuable visibility is surely just a positive side effect. Our favorite finds: Copylab, The Most Famous Artist, and Nic Courdy.
