Thanks to Instagram, we are always stumbling upon new, inspiring women. Today we are introducing Blanca Miró Scimieri, Jeanette Friis Madsen, and María Bernad
There is a long list of women we love. They live in Spain and Scandinavia, the US and Australia. Sometimes in Berlin, too. Luckily, the internet helps us admire them all (simultaneously).
Especially on Instagram, we see a ton of girls each day whose style, looks, and lives leave us wanting more. Urban Dictionary describes the word “instagirl” as follows: a girl who is very popular on Instagram. The term emerged to describe women like Gigi, Kim, and Bella, but it has always been other women that inspire us, particularly when it comes to fashion. Curious? We’re happy to share our current favorites, with more to follow soon.
Blanca Miró Scimieri, Barcelona

Blanca Mirós’ colorful Instagram world puts us in a good mood. That’s because of her passion for wild combinations and her fondness for quirky bags. And her sense of amusing motifs, as well. Favorite pic: Blanca with a white down jacket and a fanny pack filled to the brim with carrots. A sense of style and humor – that’s what we’re into! This 25-year old works as a stylist and fashion consultant and runs her blog of the same name where she doesn’t only show outfits but also reports on travel and art exhibitions.
Jeanette Friis Madsen, Kopenhagen

Jeanette Madsen is really nice – was the result of an internal hey woman! poll. On her Instagram account, we always find her happy and well dressed. Every time we look at her feed, we are always amazed at what she’s found (and we haven’t) at H&M, & Other Stories, and Filippa K. The Danish fashion editor (Costume Magazine) skillfully combines high-end and affordable items, and we love seeing her in pastel color combinations, beautiful chunky knit sweaters, and checkered suits. Natural and simple, always. She is Scandinavian, after all.
María Bernad, Madrid

María Bernad loves vintage. She takes styling inspiration from days and styles gone by. It’s no surprise that the designer also co-founded the vintage online shop “Les Fleurs.” We are only too happy to admire her looks on Instagram, made up of masculine and ultra-feminine pieces, always with a touch of nostalgia. One day she’s wearing an oversized corduroy blazer with flares and loafers, perfectly natural, and the next, a sexy silk skirt with a cropped top and platform sandals. Delightful: her taste for muted colors.
Madeleine is a fashion journalist. For as long as she can remember she has been passionate about fashion and accessories, in particular cashmere sweaters and jewelry. After five years of working at Vogue Germany’s fashion department in Munich, she decided to encounter a new challenge and move to Berlin. Her role at hey woman! allows her to combine her passion for styling, creative directing and writing. Madeleine is also good at imitating a Swiss accent and trying to be a cook.
