The Treat Collection Beauty Loft is the new Berlin walk-in Spa with organic beauty products, manicures and body scrub treatments
Recently photos have been popping up on Instagram from different angles and corners of an incredibly gorgeous place: giant, light-flooded windows; a large, patterned and woven carpet in dusty pink; stylish wooden furniture and leather chairs; designer lamps, flowers, and other subtly positioned décor. If you look closer, you’ll see shelves filled with the most beautiful bottles, jars, and tubes. And as I quickly found out, this wasn’t a private home, but rather a brand new walk-in spa in Berlin.
It’s already been clear for a while that the city was missing something like this. Just how clear is something I only realized when I paid my first visit to Beauty Loft with the intention of making an appointment. My findings: The spa is almost completely booked out – and as its very likeable founders Daniela and Dirk Mellis explained to me, it has been since it opened at the beginning of March. It’s customer base was basically there from the first second. I now belong to that group.

What’s more, their in-house, decorative cosmetics line Treat Collection is based in both Berlin and L.A. and has already been around for a few years. The product range includes nail polish, hand and foot care products, as well as lip color and lip glosses – all packaged with an exceptional sense for aesthetics.
I love the polishes, which also have a lot less chemistry packed into them than conventional products. They provide intense color, great shine, and last extremely long. Moreover, they stain far less because they’ve stayed away from the aggressive ingredients that like to eat into your nails and lead to unsightly discoloration.
So I relaxed in the Loft’s stunning atmosphere for a Treat Collection Pampering Pedicure with a tea in one hand and a XXL glass of chocolate buttons in the other. A fragrant and relaxing foot bath, an exfoliation, and a massage, followed by filing the nails into shape and removing and oiling the cuticles. As far as the nail polish, my choice fell to Paris Paris, a bright and classic red that simply puts you in the mood for summer and walking around barefoot. And while I was still rejoicing in my exceptionally soft feet and sparkling red nails, it was already time for a nourishing and relaxing Pampering Manicure. Good Thing – a subtle nude tone – was my choice there.

In addition to Treat Collection, Daniela and Dirk Mellis also count three other brands as part of their beauty portfolio. You can also purchase these at Loft and find them used in different treatments.
I’ve already tried out two facial oils by Night Delight Organics and Modern Natural Skincare that I was really impressed with. The Rejuvenating Full Body Treatment and the Ultimate Glow Facial, during which Night Delight products are used among other things, are way up on my wish list because of that. Take into account that I’d happily test my way through the entire treatment menu that Beauty Loft offers.
And I almost forgot: The fourth in-house brand at Beauty Loft is a product line for our canine friends. Donovan, my friend Sarah’s dog, tested them and we’re taking his friendly shake afterwards as a sign that he likes them. Whether that shake might lead to a reduction in his extensive fear of water, for that Sarah and I sought out a second opinion: Organic dog cosmetics actually do leave fur smelling great and super shiny.
