Top 10: Dance Scenes from the 90s

Videos with dance scenes are always a mood maker: We couldn’t resist to put together our top 90s dance scenes, including Scent of a Woman, Titanic and Fatboy Slim “Praise You”

A few years ago, when I was still young and had just come to Berlin, I found myself at a house party in the early morning hours that babbled along so late, the gay couple next door was raiding their liquor cabinet for us at regular intervals and everyone in the motley group was so happy about the get-together, that no one really wanted to go home. An acquaintance of mine, Dave, was taking care of the music – it was, as far as I can remember, predominantly electronic music from a really professional DJ booth – and at some point I asked for a song you could really move to.

Not a minute had elapsed before a tango was coming out of the speakers and I was invited to dance. I’m reminded of this moment every time that melody plays. And of the days of carefree youth, and how good music has been for me in the time between. That’s why we here at the hey woman! headquarters have put together a few videos that will make you want to jump up from your desk (or the dinner table) and give yourself mindlessly over to the music:
