Fashion editor Oriane hits the Côte d’Azur with a suitcase packed full of essentials: From a Lisa Marie Fernandez suit to Valentino slides and Dior sunglasses

Oh the South of France…how I love you…your myriad colors, eclectic scenery, balmy summer weather, and mouth-watering cuisine. You are the ideal destination for a quick getaway that combines two of my dearest obsessions passions fine food and sunshine!

Alongside a selection of sunglasses and swimsuits – it’s always better to have too many choices than not enough! I packed my suitcase with a selection of light dresses, basket bags, and a lot of other colorful and summery looks.

Having a Marilyn Monroe moment in the Old Town of Nice.

My dream beach day outfits consist of a pair of Dior sunglasses bleu, blanc, et rouge, evidemment and two of my favorite swimsuits: One by the iconic Lisa Marie Fernandez to keep that tan nice and even, and a second by Marysia that’s best suited for relaxing in style and enjoying a light lunch by the pool. On my feet? Slides, of course and to be specific, these beauties by Valentino. Throw in a Kafka novel and a glass of rosé and I am officially in heaven!

Stocking up!

For my daily vegetable shop au marché, I would opt for a bit more modesty to avoid shocking the locals – and yes, even if Leandra Medine has predicted that no pants are the new pants. My outfit of choice? A matching top and long skirt by Kalita with Ball Pagès espadrilles, Rebecca de Ravenel earrings, and my current favorite bag, a bamboo creation by Glorinha Paranagua that DAMN – is already sold out…

And, for the evening? A Saloni dress, Tabitha Simmons sandals, a straw bag, a nice and very red lipstick, and I’m ready to go!

Côte d’Azur…Je t’aime!

French and Swiss, Oriane moved to Berlin to pursue her interest in all things creative. She loves art and photography and does a lot of yoga, also to balance out her passion for great cuisine - a real foodie so to say. And of course, she is obsessed with fashion, which you can tell from her weakness for peplum cuts and ruffles. At hey woman! Oriane is responsible for shooting, producing and styling as well as editing and collage design.
