Lookbook: The Row Cruise 2017

The Row present their lookbook for the Cruise 2017 Collection and surprised us with Frederique van der Wal, Audra Avizienis and Olga Sherer as the main models

Always exactly the right amount of reserve: That’s The Row, and that’s why we love this label just a little bit more every season. Founded in 2006 by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, the focus here in on “anonymous luxury,” or as they say themselves: “Based on the idea of designing understated basics to build a unique wardrobe, the house creates elevated essentials that meet uncompromising luxury.”

While the re-see date in Paris is pending, we’ve let ourselves take a glance at the breathtaking Cruise Collection 2017 lookbook. The “main roles” are played by the almost 50-year-old Frederique van der Wal, Audra Avizienis, Olga Sherer, and Jada Joyce. The message is always simple: as natural as possible, as simple as it can be, and ideally surrounded by high-quality materials. And at a time when others are so often hollering out, that’s exactly what we like to see.

Every single piece from these 13 looks could find a place in your closet immediately. The black turtleneck, the trench coats, the delicate silk dresses, the over-sized sweater…and just so we’re clear about it: The classics that you find every season in one form or another in the shoe and bag departments are way up there on our wish list. Timeless investments par excellence, that’s basically what you can call it.
