A Collection of Veronika Heilbrunner’s Best Street Style Looks

“The best fashion show is definitely on the street. Always has been, always will be.” Bill Cunningham just knew it earlier than most: in the meantime, the street style phenomenon has now secured a fixed position in the fashion world. After several “seasons” and many a covered kilometer of photo storms through the major international fashion cities, that’s why we’ve compiled our favorite Veronika looks.

Best of Street Style Spring / Summer 2017:

The Fashion Week marathon that took place over the last month for the Spring/Summer 2017 collections was in every respect exciting and eclectic. Reporting from New York, London, Milan, and Paris, Veronika brought us her favorite designers’ new collections as well as new discoveries. What she “wore to the shows” herself is what this article is about. Lucky for us that we had such a varied selection of street style photographs to go through!

Winter in summer and summer in winter: while it’s normally in September and October that the Spring / Summer collections are shown, the invited editors, buyers, and VIPs are of course wearing the Fall/Winter 2016 collections that are currently hanging in the shops. Packing your suitcase for the Fashion Month is definitely a challenge because while you’ll mostly find high-summer heat in New York, temperatures about 15°C cooler are ruling in Paris. That should mean that the fun here is in wintery, warm trend pieces looking “cool”. Veronika’s this season were all about contrast – whether a relaxed t-shirt or a pearl-studded sweater by Gucci or a glitter shirt by Sies Marjan.

Whereas in February/March, when the Fall/Winter collections are being shown, summer coats and dresses are layered to defy the icy cold. Veronika’s methods include tricks like warming color tones (aka the orange-colored Acne Studios ensemble) or heavy Yeezy boots and Timberlands paired with romantic dresses. Not to forget or favorite look with the sheer silk dress by Miu Miu
