This week Veronika Heilbrunner’s shopping favorites are inspired by the American Met Ball, incuding Givenchy, Simone Rocha, Christopher Kane and Roger Vivier
Unfortunately, I won’t be there myself… nevertheless and maybe just because of that, I will enjoy scrolling through the image galleries all the more. The topic of this year’s Met Ball is “China: Through the Looking Glass” and I’m feeling joyful anticipation thinking about Valentino’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection “Dragon Sweater” (unfortunately only released in stores from August). The truth is that this event awakens a desire for fancy gowns in me every time. How I would wear those gowns is obvious – “bad-ass” boots by Givenchy with a fluffy plush cocktail dress by Simone Rocha. In the event of a floor-length act, like the Over-the-Top t-shirt dress by Bottega Veneta, it would have to be Roger Vivier’s silk slippers in the most perfect hue of red because their tips peek out particularly pretty. The cool 90s style bag with a crystal handle by Christopher Kane is the perfect fit because I am not a fan of evening bags. It’s also just practical leaving you with both hands free to be introduced, hold drinks, write messages and most of all to dance! A fancy iPhone case is courteous because mostly lying on the dinner table. The moon stone ring is not only beautiful but provides good vibes.
