Inspired by a day in the Tiergarten, Veronikas shopping list features labels like Saint Laurent, Valentino, The Row, Ganni, Erdem and the book “Gods and Kings”
It might sound like a cliché, but Berlin is really most beautiful when the days are long and the sun never seems to set. Now. Because I travel a lot for work and am basically always on the run to go somewhere, I enjoy it all the more when “Office Berlin” is noted in my calendar. That is when I harness every free minute for my most luxurious hobby: reading! Literally! Instead of going by car I take the S-Bahn to work, to be able to read while driving. When getting lunch I read while walking, what unfortunately makes the ways just a little longer.
I like it best to sit in Tiergarten for an hour with “Gods and Kings” by Dana Thomas. To get to my favorite spot in the park (naturally I can’t give that away) I always pass the Zoo and of course, my look is inspired by the sad heroes of my teenage days from “Zoo Station: The Story of Christiane F.”.When I was 13, I devoured this book not just once or twice but multiple times. Without really understanding what was happening the seventies sadness and Bowie music magnetically attracted me. Hence, flared denim culottes by Valentino combined with a mesh-look lace shirt by Erdem. The retro bikini can definitely shimmer through from underneath the shirt and of course, the most beautiful plateau sandals are from Saint Laurent. It’s very much ok that the little basket bag by Mark cross doesn’t fit much, I gladly carry the lovely velvet cushion by House of Hackney as an accessory under my arm. And now please excuse me – I have to carry on reading!
