Veronika Heilbrunner combines the poncho by Chloé with black Levi’s 501 Jeans, white Converse and the Lexi Bag by Chloé
Thanks to the fact that I’m constantly traveling – and therefore constantly having to pack clothes to fit the weather circumstances – I check my WeatherPro app several times a day, and for several destinations. As I was sipping my coffee this morning, I realized that my Sorel boots and Arctic Explorer parka will be my daily companions for quite a bit longer, and what’s more I started dreaming of days when the temperatures climb, the wind stops, and being outside requires lighter cover.
I’m unsure if my desired item of clothing is based on intensely reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, or that reminding me of the magic invisibility cloak, but all I want is to roam the streets in my beloved poncho. Nothing is as light and easy to wear, yet at the same time warming, comforting, and always able to give you an air of musketeer-cool. And let’s not forget the many other ways you can take advantage of this fine cloth: picnic blanket, plane sleeping cover, and so many more.
I definitely make my cape by Chloé the center of attention and wear it super casual with my Levi’s 501 jeans (from the men’s department), a t-shirt, and Converse sneakers. The bag you choose is not unimportant – most of the time you’ll be carrying it in your hand or, if trying to put it over your shoulder, dealing with a bit of fabric muddle. Therefore, I opted for this Chloé beauty, the Lexa Cross-Body Bag, which is equipped with a longer and shorter strap so carrying both ways is possible.
Born and raised in Munich/Germany, Veronika’s professional career has developed from being a model to a fashion editor, to online luxury retailing and most recently style editor of Harpers Bazaar Germany. She currently lives in Berlin where in the beginning of 2015 she started a company with Julia Knolle, the ex-editor at large of Vogue Digital.
Oh, and she loves pugs!
