When this beautiful trend started to appear at the shows last fall, I had David Hamilton’s pictures in my head right away. What I liked best about these looks was how incidentally these pieces were styled with the most luxurious craftsmanship. There were flat sandals and no details or accessories to distract, only naked skin.
Already while planning the production, Gianluca (the photographer) started researching how Bilitis would look like today. She would probably be wearing her white lace in dark clubs and wake up with smudged make-up and messy hair after a long night, and would still (or maybe just because) look stunningly beautiful. She would never take off her jewelry, that doesn’t really fit together but somehow does, because they are lucky charms and each piece significantly meaningful. Of course, she wouldn’t be wearing high heels with her romantic lace dresses, but sneakers, absolutely and only white.
