Stella McCartney designed a holiday capsule collection for Net-a-Porter. The launch was celebrated with a dinner
The capsule collection that Stella McCartney designed exclusively for Net-a-Porter contains 10 pieces and has been available on the luxury retailer’s website since the 9th of November. And she couldn’t have gotten to the heart of the collection’s main theme – “party” – any better than with the satin, chiffon, and metallic accents.
In fact, the garments don’t just get us thinking about next weekend, but also about Christmas Eve, the Christmas holidays, and New Year’s Eve. That’s the because the shimmering one-shoulder blouse, the black wide-leg pants, the short dress with the cinched waist, and the snuggly jacket made of faux shearling seem to be made for exactly that.
To celebrate the launch, Net-a-Porter President Alison Loehnis and the designer herself hosted an event in a private London club. Around 30 guests were present for the dinner – a typical British menu was served – and the cocktail reception that followed. Arizona Muse, Katie Grand, Laura Bailey, and Elizabeth von der Goltz were among those in attendance.

And, as always, Stella McCartney has remained true to her principles and ethical values in this exclusive capsule collection: Only certified organic cotton and sustainable viscose were used in the making of the garments.
