The expressive make-up line by Pat McGrath is launching today exclusively on Net-a-Porter
Speak about the greats of the beauty business, and one name comes up immediately: Pat McGrath. And this American make-up artist is probably even the icon of the industry altogether. With a career spanning more than two decades, McGrath has created pioneering beauty looks for innumerable campaigns, editorials, and shows. Her ruby red glitter lips for Versace, her looks with gold-colored lips for Prada, and her pearl and shell covered masks for Givenchy are legendary. And that’s just to name a few…
So the excitement was all the greater when Pat McGrath launched her own make-up line, Pat McGrath Labs, just over two years ago. The very limited-edition sets don’t just sell out within a few short days, we haven’t even been able to get them in this part of the world up until now – that is, without horrendous shipping and import tax costs from the USA. That’s luckily come to an end. As of today, Pat McGrath’s make-up line is now exclusively available on Net-a-Porter.
“Everything we do at Pat McGrath Labs is fueled by obsession, inspiration, and addiction. I am very pleased to be able to share this quartet of covetable couture collections with my fellow beauty junkies via Net-a-Porter,” says Pat McGrath. And of course that typical McGrath glitter look already shows up in the packaging of the four sets: a plastic bag full of shimmering sequins. Very Instagram-worthy.

What’s inside? Skin Fetish 003 in the shades Nude and Golden include everything for a radiant glow, including Pat McGrath’s famous 2-in-1 highlighter stick with which you first apply a nourishing Aloe Vera balm and then the highlighter.
Lust 004, consisting of various lipsticks and glosses as well as two little jars of gold powder and glitter particles, lets you re-create the famous Versace glitter lip. The look is probably better reserved for your next party rather than your next dinner, because in the latter case this elaborate bit lip-art would be destroyed far too quickly.
Finally, you’ll find everything for a perfect eye look hiding in the two sets Metalmorphosis 005 and Dark Star 006: an eyeliner pencil plus various pots filled with gold, silver, bronze, copper, and blue pigments as well as a creamy-textured equivalent.
In any case, be fast when the collection is launched on Net-a-Porter today – the “sell-out danger” is high. When Pat McGrath first presented her highlighter set on her website last year, for example, the site even went down for a bit. The demand was simply too much.
Pat McGrath Labs products cost between 60 and 170 Euros. More information can be found on the Net-a-Porter website here.
