Le Labo has expanded its product range. Our beauty editor Anna takes a look at the products from the new Body-Hair-Face line

When you think of Le Labo, first and foremost, you think of perfumes. Very exclusive perfumes, to be precise. Edouard Roschi and Fabrice Penot, who founded the label in New York in 2006, take a special approach: You don’t just grab a bottle from the shelves in their stores and buy it – every fragrance is freshly mixed, bottled, and labeled with its own name. Now Le Labo has expanded its product range to include the Body-Hair-Face care line.

“Like any other; our shower gel doesn’t wash better, our body cream doesn’t ‘cream’ better. They are free of any promise other than making you feel good,” explains the New York-based label. That’s very personable. What I also like about the new line is that it has a wonderfully simple design – and it’s also reduced to the essentials in terms of the number of items. They’re aren’t umpteen different tubes and jars for each type of product, but rather just one: a shampoo and conditioner, a hand cream, a body lotion, a face mask, a lip balm. What’s more, all of the ingredients are purely natural. You’d be wasting your time looking for parabens or other artificial additives at Le Labo.

I already had a few favorites from the first test. One is the heavenly coffee-scented body scrub, which stimulates your circulation and is guaranteed to wake you up in the shower in a matter of seconds. And to stay on the topic of exfoliation: The scrub shampoo is a scalp exfoliator that deep cleanses and restores the natural balance of the scalp. What we forget so often is that healthy, shiny hair always starts with a healthy scalp!

The shower oil enriched with nourishing argan and coconut oils is perfect for the winter. As is the camphor balm with eucalyptus, which can be massaged into the wrists and neck during times of stress or when a cold is on its way. And if you’re still looking for a Christmas present for that someone special: Le Labo now also offers a men’s grooming line with special care products for men.

Le Labo was founded in 2006 and has belonged to the Estée Lauder Companies since 2014. More information and impressions can be found on the website here or on Instagram (@lelabofragrances).
