All eyes are on Asia and that includes Louis Vuitton and its Paris collection. Next year, Espaces Louis Vuitton will showcase the work of twelve Chinese artists from January 27th until September 5th. Naturally Ai Wei Wei’s tree, a mainstay in the permanent collection, will be presented within this context. The exhibition (titled “Bentu, Chinese artists at a time of turbulence and transformation”) is made possible through a cooperation with the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art of Beijing (UCCA Beijing). The focus of the show lies on the multifaceted nature of each art object. Some pieces are classic, while others use a modern approach and thus the exhibition is able to highlight and express the contrast between two cultures. Besides the art, guests will be able to enjoy concerts, screenings, performances, and readings. More program details will be released shortly. Find more information here.
