It remains to be seen whether we’ll live to see the day that Anna Wintour herself takes charge of the American Vogue’s instagram channel. In the meantime, however, she seems enthusiastic about the topic in a much broader sense and was spotted celebrating with Instagram founder Kevin Systrom at a Milan Fashion Week event amidst a well-mixed, top-notch crowd of the same progressive mindset. Among others Franca Sozzani, chief-editor of Vogue Italy, Alexa Chung and Karlie Kloss were in on the action: the guests enjoyed Italian Pastries and a festive atmosphere.
And as if the grand dame of fashion publications did not have enough on her plate these days, she chose yet another communication channel to showcase one of her major projects: the MET Gala. The fashion event, which marks the Costume Institute’s exhibition opening, annually provides for a grand spectacle (red carpet, long robes, lots of glitz and glamour) and was originally intended to collect public funding for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Starting mid-April there will be a film on said topic. And, of course we’re talking about exorbitant dimensions of event management here, so as expected even the trailer for “The First Monday in May” will give you goosebumps. Et voilà:
