Our Spring / Summer Picks for 2017 are colorful duos, chosen by our fashion editor Oriane Baud, including bi-color Attico sandals and a robot bag by Chanel
“Stronger together”: That is precisely what was on my mind when I was preparing these new editor’s picks from the Spring / Summer 2017 collections. What you’ll see here are accessories that combine together perfectly to form colorful and summery duos linked by common materials, colors, themes, styles, and more.
My tongue fell out when I spied this pretty mustard clutch by Eddie Borgo. Made of a similar material and one of my absolute favorites – velvet – it’s the absolute perfect partner to these divine bi-color Attico sandals. And in another case of a similar material, here’s another perfect team: this flashy, orange fringed bag by Loewe and electric blue pumps by Marco de Vincenzo. They were definitely separated at birth!

Following a similar theme, this summer is all about exoticism and tradition – but also futuristic technology, as seen at the Chanel SS17 show. Aquazzura and Proenza Schouler shoes are a perfect example of how this exotic influence comes back when summer arrives, and they are also my favorite shoes to rock with a simple white dress, hoop earrings, and a basket bag to complete the look. And regarding the futuristic elements: these Isabel Marant metallic sandals are the perfect partner for the sweetest accessory of all, the Robot Bag. The absolute highlight of the Chanel show, it’s not just a bag – it’s a design piece that could definitely find a place in my apartment!
With accessories as colorful and summery as this, what better place to shoot than Panama Restaurant & Bar on Berlin’s Potsdamer Straße? This hotspot – it’s the little sister of Katz Orange – offers a beautiful space surrounded by cacti, various other plants, neutral colors, and natural materials like wood and raffia.

The place itself just looks like “vacation” and I love the contrast effect with this flashy duo of “baby colors” composed of a pink Prada bag and blue Gucci kitten heels – not to mention the perfect matching effect created by these flower shoes by Miu Miu and the mother nature-influenced cactus shoes by style icon Leandra Medine (aka Man Repeller).
No doubt, the summer will be hot, colorful, and perfectly coordinated!
