London Fashion Week is on and fashion editor Ori packs her bag with items from Victoria Beckham, Burberry and many more to join Veronika Heilbrunner for a short trip
Veronika is jumping from one fashion capital to another right now and I am following her movements from our HQ in Berlin, frantically organizing her meetings and events. For this special London Fashion Week shopping list, I chose items from British designers who are about to show their new collections – and that I would love to pack to join her on an exciting London excursion!
Just because it is winter does not mean that one should feel restricted to wearing dark colors. Inspired by extravagant British style – but of course always retaining my classic French signature – I fell in love with these colorful trousers by Mary Katrantzou, yellow silk dress by the genius Victoria Beckham, and electric blue coat by Rejina Pyo.
London Fashion Week would not be complete without a piece (or two!) by Burberry. My current favorites: a white shirt and trench coat you could imagine in Visconti’s Ludwig. This is not your usual trench coat, however, but a revisited mustard version with lace and ruffles! I could easily wear both with a long feminine jacquard skirt by Erdem and statement shoes with cylinder heels by J.W.Anderson. Another mix-and-match winning combination: a gingham top by Marques’Almeida and a floral print skirt by Simone Rocha.
As for earrings, I would wear one of Delfina Delettrez’ beautiful and unique creations and then also – bag crush alert! – the pink Besa Bag by Roksanda on my arm. Elegant and fun at the same time, this bag is on my British wish list and reminds me of Mr. Tickle and his extraordinarily long arms.
And as we all know, a trip to London is never just about fashion. In between shows, I would stop by Mast Brothers’ Shoreditch stop to inhale the divine smells and electric ambience and get a mandatory chocolate fix, stop in at the Columbia Road Flower Market, shop for some home items at Liberty, and have as much high tea and scones as possible. To find my way around – and keep my Instagram feed flowing – of course I would be sporting the Brit-adapted Lulu Guinness phone case.
God bless the Queen!
French and Swiss, Oriane moved to Berlin to pursue her interest in all things creative. She loves art and photography and does a lot of yoga, also to balance out her passion for great cuisine - a real foodie so to say. And of course, she is obsessed with fashion, which you can tell from her weakness for peplum cuts and ruffles.
