Topshop launches their fall collection and Veronika Heilbrunner picks her favorite pieces for the new “Edited by…” campaign
A stunningly empty, gleaming white painted office, freshly filled with some goodies from Topshop…the result of a self-portrait!
But first, let’s go back to the beginning: We were in the middle of moving our office when Topshop asked me if I wanted to style my favorite pieces from their current collection. After spending more than two years in two rooms on a sub-tenancy agreement – and with an empty top-floor loft so close by – Julia and I decided it was time to take a big step into the future.
I had just gotten back from a short trip to London, picked out furniture for our new headquarters, and then instead of going to lunch, was quickly off to the riding stables – my favorite “break” on the back of a horse (#storyofmylife #allesgleichzeitigbyheilbrunner) – while my valiant colleagues rode on through the daily business of unpacking boxes, handing over and receiving the keys, and everything else that belongs to a move.
Later on this humid day in July, when I finally styled these goodies from Topshop in our gleaming white and (still) stunningly empty office, the sun wasn’t shining – it was raining instead. Which turned out to be good for the fall look in my self-portrait (aka patent, sequins, denim, and fake fur). I’ll be speaking about how and why I selected exactly these pieces with Nike van Dinther and Sarah Gottschalk from This is Jane Wayne and Ricarda Messner from Flaneur Magazine this evening at the Topshop Store in Berlin.
