Director and producer Reiner Holzemer followed Dries van Noten for an entire year. Now his insightful documentary is finally hitting the screens
I have always been passionate about detail, prints, and mix and match – so you can imagine how I feel about Dries van Noten!
Dries isn’t just a fashion film: It is, first and foremost, the first time that the fashion designer has allowed a filmmaker to accompany him through his creative process and go behind the scenes of his unmissable shows at Paris Fashion Week and his rich home life (and garden!). Second of all, it is deeper than a mere documentary because one can feel the genius, the calm, and the savoir-faire of a man who delivers a new, exciting, and colorful collection every season, one that’s composed of the richest fabrics, embroidery, and prints.

Director and producer Reiner Holzemer followed every step that Dries took over an entire year to conceive his latest collections, all of it prepared in Antwerp where his offices have been based for more than 25 years. The label has remained completely independent the whole time – a very unique thing within the current landscape of fashion globalization.
Dries offers insight into the life, mind, and creative heart of a master who, and without any doubt, remains one of my personal favorites. A ne pas manquer!
Dries can be watched in selected German Theatres as of June 26th 2017. Get all information on their website here.
French and Swiss, Oriane moved to Berlin to pursue her interest in all things creative. She loves art and photography and does a lot of yoga, also to balance out her passion for great cuisine - a real foodie so to say. And of course, she is obsessed with fashion, which you can tell from her weakness for peplum cuts and ruffles. At hey woman! Oriane is responsible for shooting, producing and styling as well as editing and collage design.
