Miu Miu x KaDeWe

Miu Miu opened a pop-up shop at the KaDeWe in Berlin, releasing four different collection groups every two weeks

When I heard the news that KaDeWe was going to open a temporary shop with Miu Miu on its beautiful India Mahdavi-designed second floor and offer ready-to-wear for the first time, I was over the moon. And even more exciting was being given the task of shooting my favorite look from all four of the different collection groups that will be on display and changing every two weeks.

I started my announcement on Instagram at the beginning of July with the beautiful Pre-Fall Collection. Having been in Paris at the time for Haute Couture and having a very full schedule, the “moving truck” location in front of my favorite bistro behind Place des Victoires alternating with the images lying in bed was quite symbolic. And of course – for all the Miu Miu fans out there – I was inspired by the huge number of amazing campaign images that were located in and around a bed. Especially because the delicate vintage-inspired dress felt so dreamy once I took off the oversized bomber coat and my sparkly sandals. For me, it is truly and quintessentially on brand and that’s one of the reasons why I love it so much.

The second hanging in KaDeWe – which is still in store until the 29th of July – is called the “College Group” and includes my absolute favorite piece: the velvet jacket! I’m so happy this stunning FW16 piece is being repeated without the fur.

As the third and fourth parts of the temporary collection are not out yet, I can’t give away too much about them. On the 31st of July, KaDeWe will change over to the third part, probably the most “classic” Miu Miu capsule of them all – vintage 40s mini dresses, embellished buttons, and supercuts knit.

My personal favorite is the last group, which is arriving in mid-August (the 14th) and will display highlights from the F/W17 runway collection. I am obsessed with the knit suit. If you’ve seen the amazing dressing rooms on KaDeWe’s second floor, you know why you want to go shopping in a look like that! I’ll be there!
