Editor’s Pick: HUGO BOSS

HUGO BOSS created a limited-edition accessories collection with graphic prints in honor of a special exhibition: An Eames Celebration

Charles and Ray Eames’ designs have held cult status for decades. After all, the California-based duo developed countless furniture designs for both private and public use. Be it large pieces such as the Eames Lounge Chair, the Plywood Chair, or small objects like the Elephant or the Bird, their designs are always defined by organic and intelligent ideas, and also often by humor and color. And the further back in their catalog the designs are found, the more modern they appear to be. The desire to own – or rather, to invest – in one, if not every, piece grows with each year that passes. For devotees, the search for original pieces from each year of production has become a passionate pastime.

At the end of September, the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein opened a large retrospective, An Eames Celebration, which will run until the 25th of February, 2018. The museum celebrated with a dazzling party in Berlin alongside HUGO BOSS. The house also created a BOSS accessories collection limited to 125 pieces for the occasion that places colorful, graphic patterns and shapes on shoppers, clutches, and even small card cases. If your world can still tolerate some color, the collection can be shopped both online and in selected stores.

The limited-edition collection is available online at Hugo Boss here. Visual impressions of the products can also be seen on Instagram (@hugoboss). Additional information about the exhibition can be found on the Vitra Design Museum website here as well as on Instagram (@vitradesignmuseum).
