I’m lucky to live next to Weinbergspark in the center of Berlin and when the sun is up I love to grab a basket tote bag, a book, my old red and white checked (very french of me) picnic tablecloth and to go to the park.
Of course spring equals ice cream (right?!), and I’m a big fan of the dark chocolate and yogurt poppy seeds flavor in a cone from Süsse Sünde (Weinbergsweg 21, 10119 Berlin–Mitte). When I go to the park, I like to wear comfortable clothes that are also colorful.
On my wish list, I have this pair of Saint Laurent espadrilles made of leather. I love the bow element but also the fact that they are sturdier than the classic model, so they aren’t damaged as easily. I love to “Mix and Match” and the combination of stripes (Orcival Marinière) and prints (Dolce & Gabbana short) or flowers is one of my favorite ones. My mother would always tell me that you can’t get cold by uncovering your legs so I usually prefer wearing shorts with a long sleeve shirt over a t-shirt with a pair of pants. Also, in french we say „en Avril ne te découvre pas d’un fil, en Mai fait ce qu’il te plaît“ which means, „in April, don’t remove a thread of your clothing, in May do whatever you want.“ The Breton look is perfectly adapted!
A basket tote bag is a summer essential and I love the ones by Muzungu Sisters. They make me smile because of the pompom and its lovely design. We all know that sun can damage your hair and this is why I often wear a boater hat when I go to the park. This one by Eugenia Kim is on my wish list because of its “Little House on the prairie” look.
French and Swiss, Oriane moved to Berlin to pursue her interest in all things creative. She loves art and photography and does a lot of yoga, also to balance out her passion for great cuisine - a real foodie so to say. And of course, she is obsessed with fashion, which you can tell from her weakness for peplum cuts and ruffles.
