Stella von Senger put together her favorite Xmas looks – find them in our new Shopping List
Christmas has just recently become my favorite holiday. Once you become a mother, it’s like fairy Christmas dust gets sprinkled on you – it becomes your mission to make it the best possible holiday for your child (and yourself, as a matter of fact). Those motherly things include baking, playing Christmas music at all times (Bing Crosby, Wham!, and ok let’s be honest here, Mariah Carey), a christmas tree, hanging up mistletoe to make sure there is a lot of kissing going on in the house, and so much more.
When it comes to treating myself, it’s all about the perfect outfit – because whether you’re a mother or not, I am pretty sure you did a whole lot this year, hustled your ass off, and deserve a little something you’ve been eyeing for the last couple of months.
Outfit Option Nr. 1
My perfect Christmas outfit would be a long green silk Zimmermann dress with some comfortable tights hidden under it – Kunert for example – as I want to stay warm, but definitely leave A LOT of space for food. I would pair the dress with furry open back slippers by Sanayi 313. Of course they don’t work for cold and snowy outdoor weather, but in the best case scenario, I won’t be leaving the house anyway.
And if I have to leave after all, I would wear a beautiful Christopher Kane coat and carry a blue Amélie Pichard bag.

Outfit Option Nr. 2
This outfit is a brown velvet Raey dress paired with a pink Fendi Baguette Bag. I’ve had this thing for Fendi Baguettes since the 90s, it’s never stopped, and it may very well be a love for life. They come in so many different styles, I can’t even decide – this pink one is almost ugly, but it’s also not, if you know what I mean.

Outfit Option Nr. 3
For anyone not in favor of long dresses, I would go for this black and blue Ellery dress. I like the puffy arms a lot. As it’s very fancy and I always want the shoe end of an outfit to be comfortable, I would choose the Lilian slip-ons by Solid State Studios I bought at Nyerie. These light suede shoes feel like a second skin. It’s just heaven.

Outfit Option Nr. 4
Rihanna and I have one thing in common: an off-the-shoulder Jacquemus top. My Instagram followers voted that I wore it better, so I’m working that blouse like I am Riri herself. I usually wear it with leather pants and go into full-on sexy mode. But I can totally see it paired with girly Gucci pants to tone it down a notch. Or if you dare go for a total Jacquemus outfit, choose the business pants by my favourite French designer.

The Mari Giudicelli Leblon Mules and the coral suede Mules by Maryam Nassir Zadeh are still on my wish list. But since they are to die for, I am sure I won’t be able to resist much longer.
Waking up on Christmas Eve is exciting, and I can never wait to dress up. But the morning of the 24th is still packed with stuff to do, like wrapping presents, writing christmas cards, and cooking. So for this occasion I’d go with those Mari Giudicelli mules, The Leandra Jeans by Re/Done, a half off-the-shoulder Jacquemus blouse – sorry to mention him again, but have you seen his latest collection? Give me ALL of the pieces, please! – and my Marni wood earrings. Gosh, they are beautiful.

Another pair of earrings on my wish list – Hubby, are you reading this? – are the Sister Earrings by Open House Projects, a real hidden gem if you ask me. And one last thing: The incredibly talented Tanya Posternak, my friend and the exclusive photographer for Mansur Gavriel’s Instagram account, can also draw like a master. So Tanya and Paloma Wool collaborated and out came the most beautiful scarf I have ever seen, The Tanya. It’s sold out – I know, so mean and so sorry I told you about it – but there are more to come soon!!! So, bear with me.
