Black boots are the perfect go-to for fall and winter. We’ve put together a Top 15 shopping list you don’t want to miss
It’s always easy pickings, of course: my closet consists of about 95% black pants, sweaters, and dresses. Often that’s reason enough for Veronika to make fun of my, as I see it, consistent style. As I was changing over my wardrobe from summer to fall/winter, I rummaged through my closet and pulled out all of the black shoes I had been missing for months, cleaned them and polished them, and lovingly placed them in the hall.
They maybe all look – objectively seen – more or less the same. But for me personally, there’s no greater joy than picking out a pair from this seemingly monotonous collection before I leave the house in the morning. To me, of course, they are all fundamentally different, but they do have a few things in common: narrowly cut, a particular course of rounded toe, no-to-little heel, mid-height shaft. Some lace up, others more of a Chelsea boot or something very classic. To share my excitement with you, here are the best of the best: a mix of those that could already move into my apartment with me and a few pairs that fill my imaginary wish list. On which they are or will become, like the others, my true seasonal companions.
