How convenient that this June is totally rainy, good reason to immediately rush to the new Prefall collections. Luckily, despite the name they include plenty of summer pieces. In New York for example, rain implies jumping across puddles with an umbrella over your head and sandals on your feet to sweeten the apocalyptic morning with the most delicious breakfast at Sant Ambroeus in West Village and sweat like after a sauna infusion in the afternoon when the sun comes out. Photographer Vera Comploj followed me through the rain and obviously/miraculously has a fondness for the dark.
My obsession with patch pockets goes into a second round, but now dark blue and white is replaced by jungle-fresh khaki colors. The Altuzarra dress is definitely an investment. I am already looking forward to wear it as my fall-uniform with a turtleneck and flared trousers underneath and a brown cowboy belt with silver mounts instead of the fabric belt.

The knitted empire top by Calvin Klein Collection goes perfectly with my high-waisted 70s style jeans. You can also combine it with the most beautiful skirt of this summer with patchwork application by Saint Laurent. Of course I add the classic Monogramme shoulder bag by Saint Laurent ( on my shopping list are definitely the brown and the green one in suede leather) it works from mornings to evenings and I even wear it on the way to the gym.
This is also a dress I will wear with flared trousers in fall. Although, or maybe especially because it has a traditional crochet work application (the polish designer Magda Butrym has all pieces manufactured with native craftsmanship) its really “badass” now in the summer heat and accordingly has to styled with black accessories: my lace-up sandals by Gianvito Rossi in elegant suede leather and my Monogramme.
