I’ve made my decision and chosen a companion: bell bottoms will take me from summer into fall. Here are my favorites:
TWEED PANTS BY CHLOÉ
The tweed pants are a wonderful combination of “bourgeois” (tweed!) and “bohème” (very wide legs!). I pair them with my simple, yet transparent, silk blouse (both by Chloé) to balance out the pants. I refuse to wear shoes and instead simply go barefoot, just like Jane Birkin who waltzed around St. Tropez in the 1960s never wearing any shoes. However, if you feel include towards footwear, I recommend espadrille platforms (like these by Miu Miu) for the perfect “laissez-faire” vacation mood.

FLARED JEANS BY ACNE STUDIOS
When we’re riding through Berlin on the motorcycle, I like to wear my white flared jeans from Acne Studios because they looks so wonderfully out of place on it. Which is why in this case, I do need shoes: thanks to their thick rubber sole the Eytys sneakers are perfect for bell bottomed pants. Even BiBa founder Barbara Hulanicki knew that an exaggerated silhouette on arms or legs enhances the overall body shape and makes your middle appear slimmer. This trick is perfect for my short turtleneck sweater, and the Native American belt help break up the look.

LEATHER PANTS BY CALVIN KLEIN COLLECTION
The leather pants by Calvin Klein Collection have already secured a special place in my collection. First of all, they’re my current favorite color (chocolate brown) and secondly, I’m magically drawn to the patchwork pattern. The sporty, comic flower print top by Christoper Kane is the perfect match and reminds me a bit of the serie “Weißensee” with Hannah Herzsprung.
