Thanks to a small fashion week break between Milan and Paris, while I was dragging my overweight luggage though our courtyard a beautiful buckeye rolled towards me. To my great joy – it’s autumn! These wonderful colors, rustling leaves and the last rays of summer before darkness. But to be honest, I’m also happy that my outfits have to fill criteria other than being airy and suitable for the office heat. My favorite secret sport is to have bare legs as long as possible, balancing it out with a fall coat.
The velvet coat from Louis Vuitton is an absolute dream. I wear it almost day and night, over pyjamas when I’m picking up coffee, but on chic occasions as well. I like to interrupt it with a flowered dress, just as Nicholas Ghesquière showed in his pre-fall look book. Only, I pair it with suede sneakers by Comme des Garçons for Nike. The Dora from Louis Vuitton is retro and very clean, the perfect reason for me to turn towards bigger (and more practical) bags.
I always wanted to have a checkered blanket to wear. The coat from Prada with ribbons on the lapels is very girly. During the winter I will surely wear it at least once as a dress. But right now I’m wearing it with denim culottes from Valentino and jacquard Air Force Ones with a brightly colored sole. The suede bag from Lanvin is like a pretty pillow and a fantastic elegant addition.
Appliqued plastic flowers on a classic coat with the beautiful quality of cashmere wool. This is exactly what I love about Christopher Kane. The cut is oversized and a bit reminiscent of the 80s. As a romantic contrast, I like to wear my Erdem turtleneck with the beautiful monochrome floral print.
